Update Action Type During an Action Alert

You may need to change plans during an emergency. Learn how to change your action type from Shelter In Place to Lockdown, Lockdown to Evacuate, and more.

Access during an Action Alert differs by access level. Check out Action Alert (Safety Team procedure) and Action Alert (Staff procedure) for more information. 

Instructions

Only Safety Teams can change the action type of an active Action Alert.
  1. Navigate to the Action Alert Dashboard.

  2. For Action Alert Detail, choose View/Edit.

  3. Choose Update Action Alert.

  4. Next to the action, choose Edit.

  5. Select the new action (and if necessary, incident type).

  6. Choose Update Action Alert to save your selection.


Once updated:
  1. The Action Alert banner at the top of the dashboard shows the new action.
  2. CatapultEMS sends a new notification (email, text message, etc.)
  3. Users see a pop-up notification and a new message within the dashboard.
