Our server team has applied an upgrade to the server which will permanently increase the capability of the affected system. This should prevent similar issues from affecting the system for the foreseeable future.
Update: As of 2:57PM PST we are still experience some slow downs on our announcement program and are working to remedy the issue.
Initial Post: Due to an unusual spike in the usage of our catapult announcement platform the editing functionality of Catapult CMS experienced an outage that lasted approximately 45 minutes. Beginning at approximately 10am and lasting until approximately 10:45 AM Pacific standard time.
Our server team has applied an upgrade to the server which will permanently increase the capability of the affected system. This should prevent similar issues from affecting the system for the foreseeable future.
With the exception of the announcements none of the front facing websites were affected, but users ability to log in and edit their sites was severely limited during this outage.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience this interruption in service caused, and we are taking steps to improve the announcement system to prevent any future problems.
